The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, or “Clery Act,” is a federal statute requiring colleges and universities to disclose campus crime and certain security policies on an annual basis. The crime statistics are compiled using reports made to campus security authorities. A copy of the crime statistics is filed with the U.S. Department of Education and is available at its website: http://ope.ed.gov/security.
