Throughout these three sessions, high school students will develop the knowledge necessary to help them successfully enter into the next step of their lives: College. Students will be taught the most effective ways to apply for colleges, understand financial aid packages and paying for college, and to apply their knowledge to decide which college or university they will continue their higher education at.
Session I: Preparing College Applications
- Students will learn how to collect the required materials for their applications.
Сесія II: Financial Aid and Paying for College
- Students will be analyzing examples of financial aid packages, understanding the importance of deciding to take out student loans, and where to find scholarships or other ways to pay for college.
Session III: Choosing the best college for your career
- Students will create a college application tracker to record their application status while learning about college life, deciding whether to live on/off campus, and what steps to start off their freshman year strong.
